An ancient and mysterious structure, Sparshard Mons was once believed to be a 30th Millenia-era holy site dedicated to the Emperor, and was used as a base of operations for Chaos forces during the fighting there. Upon the discovery that it was in fact a Warp Portal of the Ruinous Powers, it was destroyed by orbital bombardment.
